Kick-off Meeting of the new COAR Interest Group on Controlled Vocabularies

Begin: January 14, 2014 3:30 am

End: January 14, 2014 4:30 pm

The COAR Interoperability Working Group will launch a new interest group on controlled vocabularies for Open Access repositories. The main objective of the group will be to continue the maintenance of the “info:eu-repo” vocabulary that was introduced with the DRIVER v2 Guidelines in 2008.

Since then the vocabulary has been extended and adopted by other projects in Europe and beyond. Furthermore the group also likes to come into contact with those initiatives aiming to standardise metadata about research information and Open Access publications and data, to share experiences and to align vocabularies. E.g. V4OA, RIOXX.

The first meeting is envisaged as a virtual kick-off meeting to be held on January 14, 2013 at 15:30 PM CET. (GMT+1)

The meeting will take place using Cisco WebEx Meeting System For first time users, this system requires participants to make a quick download before joining the meeting, so you should join the meeting 5 minutes in advance.

During this first meeting we want to discuss the objectives, structure and responsibilities of group members and plan the next steps. Please contact if you like to attend.
