Workshop – Latin America and OpenAIRE interoperability

Begin: November 25, 2015

End: November 26, 2015

Category: ,

This workshop brings together delegates from the LA Referencia network in Latin America (representatives from 8 countries in the region and RedCLARA – the high speed network), as well as representatives from COAR and OpenAIRE. LA Referencia and OpenAIRE have already agreed to adopt common guidelines for metadata and vocabularies which will greatly improve the interoperability of content across their networks. The aim of the workshop is to identify the current challenges to the adoption of guidelines by repositories in Latin America and develop a roadmap for their implementation in different countries. The workshop is being organized in the context of the European Commission funded project, OpenAIRE2020 in which COAR is participating and leading the work around international alignment of repository networks.

The workshop takes place at Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
