COAR is pleased to announce that our Annual Conference will be held on June 6-7, 2024 in conjunction with the Open Repositories Conference in Gothenburg, Sweden.
On the afternoon of June 6, there will be an open session taking place at the conference venue. Everyone is welcome to attend and there is no registration required. This open session will provide an overview and implementation status of one of the most important new innovations for repositories in decades, COAR Notify. The audience will learn about the latest developments, new use cases, and have an opportunity to ask questions and provide critical input to the initiative. This will be followed by a presentation of various COAR resources available to the community including a new version of the COAR Resource Type vocabulary, recommendations on supporting multilingualism in repositories, the COAR International Repository Directory, and the COAR Framework for Good Practices in Repositories.
On June 7, the meetings will be for COAR members, partners and invited guests only and take place at Chalmers University of Technology. The meetings will focus on the future directions for repositories and repository networks. Based on a survey of COAR members, we will discuss major new trends, new functionalities, and innovative services that are on the horizon for our community in the next 5 years.
Registration for the June 7th program is €80 EUR and is now open!
